I have a Jeep Commander 2007. I was wondering if it is possible to somehow have my radio setup rewired to just a simple windshield mount inside my car and wire my cb radio to connect to the old radio antenne jack outside the car and put a cb radio antenne in the radio antenne plug outside the car. If so where could I find out how to do this and the things that i need to make an adaption like that. thanks.

My father just got a 5th wheel and is going to really start traveling the country. I thought it would be cool to give him a CB radio. He seems like he would like it. I just don’t know what all I need besides a radio. Doing a little research, I see that the high-end Uniden and Cobra seems nice although the radio alone is about $100. What else is required? For example: an antenna, power source, mounting brackets? Any help would be great. Thank you so much.

My sister spends a lot of time talking over a cb that she brought to my house. It’s a huge antena with a base unit and power suply that rivals the local radio station..!!! I’ve seen my electric bill soar.. but i can’t be sure it’s her toy… How much electricity does one of those things consum?

Also, whenever i try to talk on the radio, my CB, keeps turning off for some reason, it doesn’t do it as much when I am driving, so it makes me think that it is not getting enough voltage. Am i right in thinking this, or is it just the CB?
